After all this time…Blend of Seven Winery finally can uncork its bottles in downtown Marion! Today, Friday May 30th, is their Grand Opening! If you didn’t have weekend plans, now you do. Their hours for today are 3-9pm and there will be raffle drawings at 8pm. Their normal hours of operation will be 3-9pm Wednesday-Friday and 1-9pm on Saturdays. They are located in the beautiful historic Citizens Trust building at 146 West Center Street. Even more exciting news, this will be another sunny patio option for downtown customers!
If you haven’t heard, Sandi and Steve brought this business into fruition in 2011 after making wine as a hobby from a kit, were in Delaware for over 13 years, and are now in Marion! The name “Blend of Seven” actually stems from their blended family, Sandi and her kids blending with Steve and his kids to create one big family of 7, over 30 years ago…which just proves that they excel at mixing things together to strike a perfect balance.
Not only will you have a variety of tasty wines at your fingertips, but Blend of Seven Winery is here to fill up your calendar with fun and unique events! It’s so exciting to see what they are already bringing to Marion! Events currently in the works are True Crime & Wine Time and Sip & Craft: Charcuterie Boards.
Get tickets for their events, show up for their Grand Opening, and show them some love! Thinking about all the new additions that have come to our downtown, there is so much to do and be excited about. So, let’s support the businesses that have been here for years and let’s support the ones building their tenure in our hometown. It’s a wild ride and we are hoping it’s going to get even crazier with everything coming our way! Thanks to so many of you who reached about our announcement that Whit’s will be moving into the Lydia in a few short months! We are very excited about this addition as well, and it will only enhance the growing options for date nights and family activities here in the downtown!
