Meet Katie! (And her cat Ron) Our Resident Highlight! Katie has some of the best views of downtown!
Q: Occupation?
A: Technical Assistance Provider for Farmers (Fully Remote)
Q: Are you from Marion?
A: I am not! I am originally from northern Ohio but have lived all over the place. I relocated to be closer to family.
Q: What do you like about downtown living?
A: I haven’t lived somewhere walkable since college; it is awesome that there are such cute shops and great food options within walking distance.
Q: What is your most loved feature of your loft?
A: I really like the modern amenities and tall ceiling – it makes it seem even more spacious. I am excited to decorate for the holidays; I think it will be fun to put up Christmas lights here.
Q: Is the most loved feature what initially drove you to live here? If not, what did?
A: Proximity to family is what drove me here! My family owns a bar in town – Fable Bar and Co. I am hoping to help them with that and other projects they are working on in town.
Q: What’s different about this apartment versus others you have lived in?
A: I have never lived in a loft – I haven’t lived in an apartment since college – it is great to have everything I need on one floor, and a modern kitchen that overlooks the living room. I am excited to start cooking again now that I have a nice big kitchen.
Q: Favorite downtown place to eat or drink? Why?
A: I love Taco Central – and of course Fable. I plan on trying other places now that I live here.
Q: Favorite downtown place to shop? Why?
A: Elena Renee – they have such a fun collection of food and kitchenware!
Q: Favorite thing to do downtown? Why?
A: So far, drop in and bug my brother and sister-in-law since they are within walking distance now 🙂

What I love about Katie’s story is what brought her here. She moved to be closer to family, and now she can walk to bug her brother and sister-in-law at Fable Bar and Co. whenever she likes. That is the kind of life downtown was built to make possible, where the people and places you care about are a short walk from your front door instead of a drive across town.
It is also a joy to hear someone light up about the small things. A kitchen big enough to start cooking in again. Tall ceilings and room to breathe. Christmas lights going up in a loft with some of the best views in town. Those are the details that turn a place to live into a home, and Katie is already making hers one.
If you have ever wondered what downtown living feels like, Katie is a pretty good answer. Cute shops and good food a few steps away, family close by, and a front row window over a downtown that keeps getting better. We are lucky to have her (and Ron) as part of the neighborhood, and we cannot wait to watch her settle in.
Better Together,
