Downtown Marion began a marked renaissance in 2018, when our group announced “Main Street Reimagined”, a project that kicked off with the purchase of 8 vacant or underutilized buildings and plans to position that one block of South Main Street as the center for downtown dining, shopping, entertainment, and events.
Since then, we have continued to buy, reimagine, renovate, and reposition buildings around Downtown Marion, and other business owners and small developers have joined in, creating incredible momentum! In fact, since 2018, over 50 buildings have changed hands, and more than 60 businesses have started or relocated to the downtown area.

The Convention Visitors Bureau offers an events calendar for visitors and residents alike to utilize for planning their trips and weekends with ease. Our Visitors Bureau has community-wide events like festivals to shopping sales at our boutiques listed months in advance.
